Working project of automatic gas fire extinguishing of KTP AVO gas.
The fire hazard of the KTP cable channel is caused by the presence of power cables laid in open trays.
Possible causes of fires and cable ignition can be:
• cable damage;
• short circuit.
Signs of combustion - heat, smoke.
The automatic gas fire extinguishing installation is made on the basis of:

gas fire extinguishing module MGP 16-100 manufactured by ZAO "Artsok", Chekhov.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is accepted as a gas fire extinguishing agent (GOTV). The gas is not aggressive towards the protected cable products and is intended for use in extinguishing class A, B, C fires and electrical equipment under voltage.
The project provides for the supply of gas fire extinguishing agent into the closed volume of the cable channel (V = 66.0 m3). The standard volumetric fire extinguishing concentration is 34.9% for cable products.
The unit is started automatically by electrical detectors, by triggering the electromagnetic valve located on the module when voltage is supplied from the control unit to the electromagnet. In addition to the automatic start, the unit is equipped with remote and manual start devices. Manual start of the module is carried out by lifting the lever on the shut-off and starting device. Carbon dioxide is released into the volume of the cable channel through nozzles of the S-U-N-21-1/2"-A type with spraying of the gas composition at 180°. The gas fire extinguishing module for protecting the cable channel is installed directly in the KTP room.
