Plot
The player takes control of many of the main characters in the Fast & Furious series, with the exception of the conspicuously absent Dominic Toretto.
The story begins with a cutscene in which Monica Fuentes finds Riley Hicks going through files in her office. Riley introduces herself and states that she is going to meet Luke Hobbs in 24 hours and she needs to know everything Hobbs is up to. The missions are then the events narrated by Monica to explain what Hobbs was dealing with. Through this, various events from the films are featured, such as the safe drag scene from Fast Five or the hijacking scene from Fast & Furious.
Gameplay
The gameplay of Fast & Furious: Showdown focuses on co-drive and vehicular combat. The game is centered around various missions, all of which focus on driving through semi-destructible loops. These missions can range from a normal race to surviving a certain number of laps. Some missions may require the character to steal another vehicle by jumping from the roof of their vehicle onto another. All cars have health bars and some have nitro abilities.
The game can be played with an AI partner or in local co-op. There is no online gameplay. Gameplay ranges from two separate cars, to one person driving the tower while the other is driving, to one person jumping out of the car and stealing the other.
