BPM is a first-person rhythm shooter developed by Awe Interactive. Fight as a mighty Valkyrie to repel the invasion of the underworld forces into the world of Asgard. In BPM, all your actions and those of your enemies are tied to the rhythm of the music. Your enemies perform a dance-like attack sequence set to an epic rock opera. Inspired by retro shooters from the 90s, the game is fast, frantic, and rhythmic. You can use double jump, dash, rocket jump, and bunny hop to evade opponents.
Your goal is to progress through randomly generated dungeons, collecting different weapons, abilities, and items each time you play. These weapons and abilities can radically change your gameplay, making each playthrough unique. You must defeat seven bosses to reach the final boss. Each boss moves and attacks differently, and you must learn to exploit these unique features to succeed. Some attacks require jumping over lava fields, others dodging fast projectiles, and others holding a position for a set amount of time.
